To be held at the Napanee Lions Club hall on Centre St. in the town of Napanee Ont., the hall can be reached from Hwy. 401, by taking the Hwy. 41 interchange at Napanee and proceeding south on Hwy. 41 (Centre St.), through the town, over the Napanee River, through the next set of traffic lights and proceed approximately 100 yards on your left to the auction site.

We are privileged to offer a selection of Canadian formal and country furnishings and accessories, selected from several Canadian collections and estates and offered at our annual January consignment sale. Featured in this auction will be a two piece refinished corner cupboard from western Ontario, an 18th century Quebec diamond point bonnetiere in paint, an open cupboard from Frontenac County Ont. c1840 in original painted finish, a Lanark County (Middleville) painted corner washstand with drawer below, a tapered leg New Brunswick mahogany washstand with drawer in original varnish, a New Brunswick drop leaf single pedestal mahogany table C1830, an outstanding folky washstand with mirror from Prince Edward Island in its original painted finish C1870, a Quebec tapered leg one drawer stand stripped to its original blue finish, a refinished 7 1/2 foot harvest table from western Ont., an Edwardian open bookcase with drawers below in old varnish, an outstanding folk carving by entitled This Matador hand Carved by Arthur Sauve Maxville Ont. 1961 depicting an Matador and bull (a similar example can be found in McKendry Folk Art pg 76, pl 54, several horse drawn vehicles by various carvers including Emile Bluteau, several oil and water colours including three oils of ships by Nikolas Henderson of Kingston C1890 an example of his work can be found in McKendry's Folk Art book, 19th and 20th century still life oils, etc., 19th century pottery and glass, a beaded clock shelf border from Lanark County, native moccasins, powder horn with great detail carving, stone ware including decorated pieces including several from the Cornwall area to include Morrisburg merchant crocks, Toronto merchant crock, Welding etc., oriental rugs, quilts to include an early example for a high post bed, and other textiles such as a sampler by Mary Elizabeth Adamson from the Morrisburg area (ex McKendry Collection), framed Navajo blankets, etc., wooden ware to include clock shelves, butter ladles, whimsy's, etc., a partial set of Furnival Maple Leaf table wares to include 2 covered vegetable dishes, soup flats, plates, two platters, a covered soup tureen with ladle and under tray, a set of sand casting tools, a pair of bronze Hessian soldiers andirons C1800, carved birds, child's Lanark County ladder back rocker in old paint, child's twig chair, duck decoys to include birds by J. Baker of Trenton, Cliff Avan Toronto, John Dufresne, Lancaster Ont., etc., a large framed photo by Notman Studios entitled "Running Lachinr Rapids", wooden sign for Meats and Groceries from Stormont County C1890, The Billiken, a Morrisburg Ont. rooming house C 1930, etc.
