We have been asked by Roger Levesque of Cardinal Ont., to sell the contents of his residence, situated 3 miles east of Cardinal Ont. on Hwy.2, the sale will be conducted on site under tent.


Several years ago we sold the Penny Levesque folk art collection, Penny has since sadly passed away and Roger has remarried and will be moving to central Ont. We will be offering the complete contents of the Leveque home, consisting of a large volume of collectible china, pottery, antique furnishings, oils, watercolours and prints, hooked rugs, quilts, folk art, oriental carpets and bags, and a quantity of quality modern household furnishings.


Furniture: a pine jam cupboard in original red painted finish, a large blind door storage cupboard in itŐs original soft green painted finish, a painted pine wardrobe with two side by side drawers below, a large blind door storage cupboard in old black paint, a small Doukhobor work table with lift scrub top and a carved skirt, an unusual corner what-not with applied leather decoration found in the Kingston area, an 8 ft. pine table on turned legs found in Gananoque Ont., several small benches in paint, pail bench in paint, blanket boxes, several small tables in paint including a demi lune, antique beds, a selection of modern furniture to include sofas, upholstered chairs, etc.


Folk Art and Collectibles: a large quantity of Medalta pottery in various forms to include mixing bowls, crocks, lamps, etc., coal lamps, hanging Aladdin lamp, a collection of tin lithograph picnic baskets and lunch boxes dating from the 1940Ős, 19th and 20th century china and glass including 10 patterned glass cake stands, comports etc., native baskets, small wooden ware including butter bowls, quilts, several Hudson Bay wool blankets, oriental carpets and bags, cushions made from quilt tops and oriental carpets, a large quantity of oil paintings, watercolours to include two by Norwell, 20th century samplers, prints, folk art to include a bush of birds by Prudent Vianneau of Tabsintac NB., several carved animals, horses and sleds, etc.,
